There is a section of Rome where the Coliseum and many of ancient city ruins stand. Its a pedestrian friendly area that takes you back in time. What is crazy is the many layers that have been excavated, exquisite architecture still here to admire.

Walking the streets.

Yes we went shopping here too! And had lunch at this neighborhood sandwich shop. Everything made right here, fresh. Reid had salami and cheese and I had tomatoes and mozzarella. Simple and perfect.

The Jewish Ghetto.

Kosher restaurants, tiny streets off a piazza and the famous fried artichokes. This man sits most of the day peeling them. What a job! And there is a pic of Anthony Bourdain in front. His fav spot for artichokes. There is still a small Jewish community here, nice to know.

Campo di Fiori

The market selling well you name it you can get it here. I want limoncello, really good olive oil, produce its all here. The streets off the piazza have lots of stories to explore. My kind of cool spot.
