Let’s talk about Art!

For Reid and I traveling and seeing great museums is such gift. My bucket list is to see as many museums in the world and so lucky to see Guggenheim Bilbao.

The first pic is Jenny Holzer a retrospective of her work. Paintings, sculptures, written words, stone benches engraved, and neon light installations, quite the collection. Early work street art, government redacted documents from the Afghan war up to today’s politics. Her take on the world we live in. Provocative, demanding your full attention, sad. Very stirring.

Richard Serra and his massive steel circular structures take up half the gallery space on the 1st floor. You enter these very tall circular steel pieces some attached to one another, other stand alone. I felt like a small child, huge in scale. How do they transport and set up this interactive sculpture? Amazing. What a day.
