We had a private all day tour today. Out ship docked in Palmas part of Costa Bravo region, tree filled, means wild. First half of our day we drove to the home town of Salvador Dali and his museum. He bought a very large theater after it was destroyed during the Spanish Civil war. On the ruins he built the largest Surrealist museum and his art. Why this spot, he was baptized in the church next door, he was a theatrical painter and he had his first exhibition in the lobby of the theater. Everywhere you look you see Dali’s influences not just inside the museum. The art work spans a great deal of his life.
