May 9th Monte Carlo

Welcome to paradise, never thought I would get here. We had to tender in, and picked up by our driver and guide Frank.

What you see is the small town above Monaco called Turbie. This is the ruins of Augusta Temple dating back to 6BC. This area of France has been invaded and written about as early as 43BC. Julius Caesar had his fleet here. In the 12th century Genia took control of entire coast line from Italy to here in Monaco.

The town of Turbie is the absolute opposite of Monte Carlo, quiet, an old world feel. In fact the Princess loves in this town with the children to avoid the swarms of tourists at the palace.
