The best plans can be turned in a flash. The original plan was to either stay in Sorrento or take a ferry to Capri. But weather dictated, I know you all think Mediterranean in mid May perfect. Sunny, mild temperatures not too hot, yes get on yes get on the hydrofoil to Capri. Its been way too long since we all explored the island.
Forget it rain on and off, and cool. Yes scarf, rain jacket and layers. My lovely summer clothes are still waiting to be used. And to make matters worse we had to tender into the port. Not fun loading people from a small platform onto a small boat. The sea can be quite ruff and sorry but there are a ton of people on this ship who can’t put one foot in front of another. Yes this is a problem when you have X amount of time to go and come back.
Reid doesn’t like tendering, he stayed on the ship. Drey the adventurer was going to Sorrento on my own.
Many of the small islands in southern Italy have towns built into the side of cliffs. Sorrento is no different.
