A taxi to Ravello from the Amalfi where we docked was one big rip off. I get it make your money off tourist when in season, even though we are at the very beginning of the crowds. What to do….. go native and take the local bus up and around the cliffs. The roads here are beyond dangerous, buses, scooters, bikers, cars on a 2 lane tiny zig zag with no guard rails. The bus driver kicks it into full gear, no for the faint of heart. Hold on and enjoy the ride.
Houses and tiny towns line the cliffs and lemon groves on every piece of available land. This is where lemons rule. If you have been on these roads you know the exquisite beauty that unfolds.
