If u look really closely at the the first picture it is Arabic prayers made from plaster, alabaster and water. And the 2nd is an example of the kind of art and details these palaces had.

The first palace was for worship. Every surface was decorated to the max. Particular attention to the ceiling, although most of the colors are gone there are places you can see how vibrant Alhambra was.
